Compared to most Machine Robo figures, New Shinkansen Robo features very little diecast metal - just the waist/thighs section. Due to mainly being made out of white plastic New Shinkansen Robo is incredibly prone to yellowing. Comes as shown.

Bandai reissued Steam Robo in updated packaging when they took over the line in 1983. Comes as shown.

The chrome around the helmet can wear. Comes as shown.

A notable weak point is the tailfin, which is made from thin plastic, and is often broken off. Comes as shown.

Weak points on the figure are the sliding arms, which can become loose, and the chrome on the rear wing, which is so thin as to be two-dimensional. Comes as shown.

The toy's only real weak point is the windscreen, which can deform, stress or snap. Comes as shown.

While basically every moving part of the figure is a lightning rod for wear, simply gravity makes this less of a problem than you'd think; though the feet can be difficult to get even, resulting in a distinctive stagger. Comes as shown.

Due to the stress of the weight of the diecast upper cockpit (i.e. the white painted bit) puts on the robot mode, Gyro Robo are often hard to stand up due to being overbalanced. Bandai reissued Gyro Robo in updated packaging when they took...

He is susceptible to wear in several places, particularly his head & his hip joints. The former tends to slide down into the body easily. Comes as shown.

The truck cab and trailer are articulated but cannot be separated. Most Machine Robo Series road vehicles can fit on the trailer. Comes as shown.

Show care with the chrome detailing (even simply moving his arms causes chrome to rub off in the shoulder joint). Comes as shown.

The figure's grey plastic shows stress easily and the rear wings often break free, so be careful. Comes as shown.
